Team Auckland Master Swimmers Annual General Meeting

Sunday 9th May, 4pm start for about an hour.
Standard Agenda: including Annual Reports and Election of Officers
Venue: 74 Gribblehirst Rd Sandringham, Ph 849 4461
Bring a plate/drink for a shared meal afterwards. Friends and partners welcome.

OUTGAMES 2011: Register and Celebration Party June 12
You’ll be able to register for the Outgames (sports events and conference) on the Outgames website from June 12. Outgames Wellington are planning special events in Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington to celebrate.
Auckland Launch @ the Hilton Hotel 5pm-8pm, canapes and a cash bar. There will be a mix of video and live presentation, entertainment with celebrity MCs, VIPs have been invited. Tickets are $20. On the night we will be giving away a prize to someone in the room for a luxury weekend for 2 at Hamurana Lodge in Rotorua – accommodation, access to all lodge facilities and a french breakfast each morning. It should be a fun event.

Swim Bits

• Saturday Morning Swimming: you’re welcome to join Kevin and Cynthia on a Saturday morning at 10 am at the Olympic Pool Newmarket for a non-coached, swim training session. Kevin and Cynthia are among others doing 50m pool swimming in preparation for the Gay Games.
• After the Saturday Morning Swim you are welcome to join the usual swimmers/ex swimmers at Urban Cafe, Carlton Gore Rd, for coffee/brunch – from 11.15 am.
• In about 100 days the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 will commence. 12 Team Auckland members are participating. The deadline for registration for the Cologne Gay Games is the 31st May. About 60 New Zealanders are registered for the Games.
• REMINDER: Swim sessions are at the Olympic Pool, Newmarket, 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday nights until further notice. There is free parking on the Domain side of the Olympic Pool.
• Outgames registration opens June 12 see website for up-to-date info and to add your name to facebook, newsletter lists etc… http://www.wellingtonoutgames.com/home. please pass this information onto any interested friends, there are opportunities to join random teams for team sports….
